The kids got to bring home some caterpillars from Pre-School so they could watch them become Butterflies!!! Sage was so excited about the WHOLE thing and could not wait to "play" with her butterfly. Here are some pictures i took throughout the weeks of waiting....and waiting.......and waiting!!!! I was a little nervous they "would not make it"
Then on Day 19 we found THIS............YAY
And Sage became the HAPPIEST Girl in the WORLD
I took a TON of pictures.....she was soooo happy
So after Sagies butterfly came out i thought Caleb's was about ready too so i put his into the same container as sage's and this happened soon after
Caleb's came out too......and i got Pictures!!!!!!! He thought it was pretty cool but not nearly as excited as Sage was about it!!!
Here are some more of my favorite pictures from the day.....don't mind sagies "homeless" hair it all happened first thing in the morning ;) So the Butterflies stayed with us all day Friday......Sage insisted that they sleep inside Friday night, Saturday morning we put them back outside and Sage was completely devastated when her butterfly she named "SPRINKLE" Was GONE (flew away) when we got back from Caleb's soccer game......it was so hard on her she cried and cried and cried :( Caleb's butterfly he named "OSO" stayed until Sunday!!!!!

Oh how sad poor Sage! Butterflies are pretty to look at far away but to be honest I am probably scared of them and moths more than spiders!!! ewww... Totally creep me out up close! Look at all those cute smiles on those kids faces! Adorable!
That is such a fun idea.. and Sage is just so sweet! It's sad that butterflies have to fly away :(. Such fun and cute pictures until then, though! I had a good laugh at the "homeless hair" comment. I call that my girls "street child" look.
Oh that's too cute! You're kids are just to precious for words! Sage is such a little darling! How sweet that she grew so attached to her butterfly!
Oso and Sprinkle had such a great start at life. What a great idea for the kids to try. You found a great preschool. And sage is cute even with the homeless hair! ;)
How fun! What an awesome idea! I love the name Sprinkle! Too cute! And don't feel bad Gracie usually has homeless hair in the afternoon almost every day b/c she takes her out during her nap so she looks homeless pretty regularly.
